The easing of various Covid-19 pandemic restrictions and a summer like weather, saw more families that came bearing flowers to pray for the departed souls of their loved ones, at the St. Peter’s Catholic burial lot at the Meadowvale Cemetery, to commemorate All Souls' Day on 7th November 2021 at 3 pm.

The graves were blessed by Fr. Ranjan D’Sa with holy water as brief prayers were recited and hymns sung and led by Gerry D’Mello.

As a symbolic act to remember all those departed, names of those who were interred were read out.

"All Souls' Day," said Father Ranjan D’Sa," is a solemn feast instituted by the church, to thank God for the lives of our loved ones who have died and to remember all the kindness they had extended to us when they were alive.

On behalf of CCVI, Flavian Pinto, thanked Fr. Ranjan D’Sa, and Gerry D’Mello for the meaningful prayers service and choir respectively, he thanked the families of the loved ones for attending and the Organizing committee for organizing the service, and for their continued support to the community.

After the service, refreshments were served to the congregation.
