Job Summary :
We are seeking a Live-IN Caregiver or Personal Support Worker to attend to a Senior couple in central Mississauga, ON area. Male patient is in palliative care and suffers from slight Dementia, female patient is recovering from hip surgery. You will be surrounded by a sweet family who will make you part of the family.
You will be provided a bedroom and washroom. This is a 6 days/week Live-IN position.
DUTIES:
Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, and eating. Bathing, grooming and dressing are taken care of by scheduled PSWs.
Basic food preparation: preparing some meals and supervising or joining them at mealtime.
Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which includes assisting with exercise and administering medication and monitoring oxygen consumption.
Ensuring the clients’ home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
Providing mobility assistance, for example helping the clients in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
PSW Certificate or Resume explaining experience
References
Valid First Aid & CPR
