Former BJP chief's house burgled

MANGALORE, 9 February 2010 : The house of former BJP state president and Udupi MP D V Sadananda Gowda at Padil at Puttur was burgled on Sunday night and valuables, including gold jewellery and cash, estimated at Rs 11 lakh, have been stolen.
The house was being attended by a caretaker during the day and was locked at night. Police said Dharnappa, personal assistant to Gowda, has lodged a complaint at the Puttur police station.
